About

The first Regional Hospitaller for the Washington region was Sandra McMurtrie, and it was her desire that every member of the Association have the opportunity to provide a service to and interact personally with the poor. Several “signature” projects (Project SHARE, Gift of Peace, Providence Hospital, and Malta House) were developed on her watch. In the years since, J. Paul McNamara, Lita Treacy, Ann Fox and Bernadette Semple have served as the Regional Hospitaller. The DC Region works closely with the Montgomery County Region on all of its projects and activities.
