Election Update 2015

Dear Confreres,

The Nominating Committee is at work on this year’s election cycle, now collecting paperwork from those interested in serving on the Board of Directors, reaching out to regions to encourage participation and reminding all participants about the non-campaigning parameters.

Some Members have inquired about the time line for the election process. All candidate materials must be in the Federal Association offices by June 22, 2015. The Nominating Committee will insure that all materials received are complete per association instructions. On July 10, the Nominating Committee will meet to review all materials received and will make its recommendation for the slate of candidates to be handed on to the Board of Directors. The board will review the Nominating Committee recommendations on July 24, 2015. By August 3, election ballots containing all candidate materials will be mailed to all Members. Completed ballots will be due in the office by August 22.

The elected candidates will be announced officially on Investiture weekend.

So, the relevant dates going forward are: June 22 (materials due); July 10 (Nominating Committee review); July 24 (board approves nominees); August 3 (ballots mailed); and August 22 (ballots returned to Federal Association office).
