HMEH, Grand Master Fra' John Dunlap Presents Grand Cross at Subpriory of Our Lady of Lourdes Annual Retreat

The Subpriory of Our Lady of Lourdes, members in Obedience, gathered in May at the Malvern Retreat Center. For over fifteen years, members in Obedience have gathered in the last week of May for a now five day silent retreat. The Obedience Chaplains (Monsignors Watkins and Mathers and Fathers Mullins, Cavotto, OFM, Hollis, OSB and Brown, SJ.) led the discussions and daily Liturgy of the Hours and Eucharistic Adoration and Benediction. The Order’s Prince and Grand Master, Fra John Dunlap attended and took the opportunity to present to Monsignor James Watkins the Order’s “Grand Cross” for his years of leadership as Chaplain and now as Subpriory Chief Chaplain. For his service to the Order and the Subpriory of Our Lady of Lourdes, the Prince and Grand Master bestowed on Hugh Dempsey, GCMOb the rank of “Grand Cross with Sash” the distinction granted solely at his discretion.
