Richmond Region Celebrates the Nativity of Patron St. John the Baptist

The Knights, Dames, Candidates, and Friends of the Richmond Region gathered on June 24th for the Solemnity Mass celebrating the Nativity of our Patron Saint John the Baptist. Mass was celebrated by the Very Reverend Michael Boehling, Vicar General of the Diocese of Richmond, and Chaplain of our Region, and concelebrated by Reverend Father Joseph Indadaño, pastor of the Pro-Cathedral of Saint Peter.  Fr. Boehling’s sermon centered on our coming together at the “table,” which was most appropriate as our Region serves “Malta Meal for the Homeless and the Hungry” once a month at St. Peter, a historic inner-city church located just off Capitol Square in Richmond.  The Region held its annual St. John the Baptist Dinner after Mass at the nearby Commonwealth Club at which we toasted with great expectation the acceptance of our three candidates for the Order.  We were blessed by the good news the next morning!  Our congratulations to Charles Scott, Michael Scott, Gibson Wright, and all incoming Knights and Dames from all Regions!  May our Order continue to be blessed and guided by our Patron, St. John the Baptist, as we serve the poor and the sick.
