Last December, the Dallas Chapter of the Johanniter celebrated a German Advent Service at Christ Lutheran Church in Dallas. The celebrant was Rev. Rudeiger Scholz, who is also the Protestant chaplain for the German military stationed in the US. The event draws a large crowd and has been gaining popularity among non-German Christians.

The Johannitter Order (Order of St. John) is considered an Alliance Order. They were part of the German langue that accepted the Reformation of the Church in the sixteenth century. While mostly Lutheran, we accept them as we do the Most Venerable Order of St. John of Jerusalem who are Church of England.

This is the seventeenth year Johanniter has sponsored this event. Also Invited to process in robes was Christopher Rolland KM, as a representative of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta and Joseph Crews of the Venerable Order of St. John.
