Central North Carolina Holds Fourth of July Cookout for Local Family House

Members, candidates and friends of the Central North Carolina Region got together for a cookout and served and visited with over 50 patients and caretakers residing at the SECU Family House in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The patients live at great distances from the area and are receiving treatment for various health conditions at nearby hospitals. There is a minimal charge, if any, for a private room with two beds and a bathroom. The lobby is warm and inviting with a spacious living room and equipped with a full kitchen. The house serves as a beautiful and warm home away from home often for weeks at a time. Transportation is provided to and from the hospitals. The residents greatly appreciated a home cooked meal with burgers, hot dogs, baked beans, macaroni and cheese, deviled eggs, cole slaw, chips, drinks, many toppers for the burgers and a variety of sweet treats. The Fourth of July theme was enjoyed by all!
