Northern Virginia Candidate Visits Rome

A Northern Virginia Region's Candidate for the Class of 2026 had a trip to Rome in January. Northern Virginia's Ryan Haynie was able to visit the Order of Malta's Magistral Villa and monastery church, Chiesa di Santa Maria del Priorato.
As an organist at the Cathedral of Saint Thomas More, Ryan enjoys visiting notable instruments while travelling. In Rome, he was especially fortunate to have the privilege of playing the postlude at Saint Peter's Basilica after the Sunday Solemn Mass. This mass was celebrated by the Basilica's Archpriest, Cardinal Mauro Gambetti, OFM Conv.
